Medjugorje is a small town located in Bosnia and Herzegovina, best known for being the site of alleged Marian apparitions that began in 1981. Since then, it has become a major site of Catholic pilgrimage, drawing millions of visitors from around the world. On June 24, 1981, six young people from Medjugorje reported seeing the Virgin Mary, who identified herself as the "Queen of Peace." These visions were said to continue regularly for some of the visionaries. The town has become a spiritual center with daily Mass, Eucharistic adoration, confessions, and the famous Apparition Hill (Podbrdo) and Cross Mountain (Krizevac) serving as key locations for prayer and reflection.
